A Local’s Guide to Wimberley

Your Hill Country Expert

Nayeli King has been selling Texas Hill Country real estate since 2007 — through the 2008 crash, the post-COVID boom, and every market shift in between. Based in Wimberley, she works across Driftwood, Dripping Springs, Canyon Lake, and Austin, with a portfolio spanning luxury estates, riverfront properties, working acreage, complex land transactions and even the Double J Ranch Golf Course. Ranked #125 by sales volume by Real Trends Verified.

She knows which flood zones are real, which roads matter, which views are worth the premium, and which school district your property actually falls in. Her relocation clients tend to say the same thing six months after closing they “wish they'd moved out here sooner”.

If you are interested to know more about what life in Wimberley is like, I’d love to connect. I help buyers in every season of life, moving with a family, looking for a vacation rental, or Hill Country ranch or just a quiet a place to retire. From raw land to luxury, I do it all.

This isn't a market you can work from a distance, you need a local. The flood zones, the water rights, the STR rules, the school district boundaries that shift mid-road — these are things you learn by living here and closing deals here. I’d love to help you lay roots in the Texas Hill Country.

Local Life + Schools

Wimberley operates like a community that actually knows itself. Your kids graduate with the same friends they started kindergarten with. Your neighbor shows up to the same Memorial Day rodeo you do. There are no chain restaurants on the Square — just local owners, local faces, and a calendar full of reasons to be outside. I always say its like living on the exhale, an easy breezy life of quality. This is the modern day village.

WISD is one os of the strongest small-school districts in Texas. Four campuses, 95% graduation rate, 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio (13.7:1 at the high school), and a UIL 4A athletic record that includes recent state championships in soccer, baseball, volleyball, and tennis, previous years in football. College prep rigor, active FFA program, and small enough that your kid is known by their name.

WISD Schools:

  • Blue Hole Primary (PK3-2nd)
  • Jacobs Well Elementary (3rd-5th)
  • Danforth Middle School (6th-8th)
  • Wimberley High School (9th-12th)
